I believe in living.
I believe in the spectrum of Beta days and Gamma people.
I believe in sunshine.
In windmills and waterfalls,
tricycles and rocking chairs.
And I believe that seeds grow into sprouts.
And sprouts grow into trees.
I believe in the magic of the hands.
And in the wisdom of the yes.
I believe in rain and tears.
And in the blood of infinity.
I believe in life.
And I have seen the death parade march
through the torso of the earth,
sculpting bodies in its path.
I have seen the destruction of the daylight,
and seen bloodthirsty maggots
prayed to and saluted.
I have seen the kind become the blind
and the blind become the bind
in one easy lesson.
I have walked on cut glass.
I have eaten crow and blunder bread
and breathed the stench of indifference.
I have been locked by the lawless.
Handcuffed by the haters.
Gagged by the greedy.
And, if I know anything at all,
it's that a wall is just a wall
and nothing more. It can be broken down.
I believe in living.
I believe in birth.
I believe in the sweat of love,
and the fire of truth
And I believe that a lost ship,
steered by the tired, seasick sailors
can still be guided home..to port.

Woot! I got two things today both things I've been highly waiting for new LSDJ cart for my gameboy and a car.
I'm sure some people will say they are not in the same league but whatever your priorities are not straight! Anyways I am in a very good mood.
I have to go to a wedding reception in a few hours and I am not sure if that is cool or not my mom said she doesn't really want to be there very long and I am basically going with her so I call that *score!*
I have to say a very very big thank you to Jim (O'Neill, I don't know if you read this) last night you said something that made me insanely happy and it means a lot to me.. so thanks <3

I am writing on an awesome super keyboard from 1984, it is a switch keyboard from before the time they made the membrane ones. This keyboard goes CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK. I love her so much. She is so heavy! Heehehe, no windows button :O
Anyways! now it is 6 days until the show~! Less than a week! I think I've decided after talking with Sprout and looking at set lists from a bunch of the shows that I am most likely gonna go to the MSI show at the Webster too (they are playing enough of the music I like ^_^). Also on the topic of music, Daniel Johnston is playing at Toads Place tomorrow night I am so excited for that! I have no idea what material he is playing which is all the better. I hope he is feeling well and will be able to play a decent length set.
My new cart for the game boy still hasnt come in :\ There have been some major issues with the mail lately, I am holding tight though because we have been working on both ends to get it settled..little anxious though!

Get ready for downcount.
Today was father's day and I totally forgot basically until Sarah talked about calling her dad(s). Pretty much because I didn't have to buy a gift.
Speaking of Sarah, she has a kidney infection :(. We went to the hospital last night in New Britain because the people in Bristol don't take her insurance (bastards). After a while (and some tests) she got a couple perscriptions for pain and antibiotics and we were off. I think she is still in some pain today though :/
In some other news I found my Ipod touch and that is greatness! :) And only 9 more days til the Dethklok show!!!
I missed the Twenty Club meeting, no ride again. It saddens me greatly, I'm sorry for all the bad news in this entry but I'm trying to keep it to a "non-whiney" tone at least.
WoW: The Druid is coming along so nice, she is 33 now and so preeeeety =). I am taking her boomkin and its so close to getting her form its exciting. I think I'm making a character on Archimonde as well as my alt to play with Marissa's mage.
Hopefully the next entry will have some more good stuffs

Look at that after two? years I'm posting something again. Neat.
So I graduated from a new school (a school that I think no body knew I was at because I havent written anything in here :P. I read over everything in here and realized that I wrote a lot to get attention and that I was really whiney. Pretty sure that happens a lot.
Anyways, undergraduate in Anthropology is done (after five years, due to a transfer) and I am more than happy. Time to work for a year and then off to graduate school and then uh..work? Thats my plan.
I've lost touch with all of the people that I had when I was last writing so I cant really expect them to read this really, other than really the communities that I am _still_ a member of by default and maybe some of the people that haven't bothered to remove me as a friend. The internet helps find those people though so it will be nice to start talking to some of them hopefully :).
This Saturday is the first meeting of the 20Club that I am going to be attending I am so nervous and so excited at the same time. Some people in CT might know what it is if not, or if you arent in CT google it. I'm sure people close to me know the situation.

Btw, Avery Island is winning.
For those who don't know its the radio station I run out of my dorm. We (by that I mean me) are building a large fanbase and consistantly having great turnout for the shows that are done and quite consistant listeners for the times that we are on automation (hell yes for listener logs :)).
There is a possibility of having a local guest come talk on the show soon, a band. It's in the works and because we are all humans it's understandable that it might be hard to find a time to work this all out so it may take a few weeks. They are really awesome for even considering it seeing as there really isnt a lot to gain other than getting heard a little bit moreso and getting to talk to some people who may already be fans (yeah, thats right, we probably can't pay much if anything.) So as soon as there are developments with that they will be posted here or on the radio website, keep looking at either!
Also if you are in Danbury/near Danbury/attending WCSU go to the Coffee House on Thursdays 8pm-9pm its a chill little place (on campus in Alumni Hall) with some great people and they give you free catered sandwiches, chips, and soda!. Also this coming thursday (the 27th) I'll be performing a few songs.

I think I'm going to turn this journal into a community because there arent enough decent ones around here on LJ. Plus anything I'd want to write in a journal/notebook I already do in the physical world and doubt I'd share it with you guys (even if it isnt that personal). So, upon thinking about such we have a few topics that come to mind..the obvious being a music discussion and blog, but that might not be enough or MAY IT?
That would allow for the largest amount of my friends to come and discuss true, there are more abstract things I could refer to...certain fashions, film etc. But when it comes down to it sweet melodies are what tie us together and with that I create Avery Island ^^.

Also the new entries will be friend locked so people don't just leech leech leech from my stuff and not be my friend at the same time. I'm willing to share as long as kids are cool about it. So if you are new and want to be friends/read entries/have access to stuff that is hosted message me and friend request me

These are two separate, non-continuous entries.
I’ve come to realize, doing such walking into oncoming traffic on our main drag of Lake Avenue (the extension to be exact), much of my life plays itself out as trite monologues. Poorly scripted, although not to the extent of a sitcom thankfully. I thought until this day the only thing absent being a laugh track or god forbid an audience prompted to laugh. Life doesn’t have an audience. I thought that at least. My audience a deer halted in the middle of the road, the left lane. I sit and talk the deer being halted there has no choice to listen and suddenly this monologue becomes an interaction with the world at large. Suddenly it is connected to a world that would still rather not listen.
She is no longer with the walking dead, she has accepted happily accepted and realized what they are. She is truthful and no longer lies about the fallacy called living. Sometimes I still sit there, where my audience once lay and envy her. That deer. My audience.
Hiking about, I was privileged enough to uncover one of the great wonders of the forest. At first mention a passerby would think to never find such a great treasure so simply out for any uninformed individual with wanderlust to find and corrupt. That this beauty would be far off in some remote land. A land only real in the dreams of those in the world still able to dream. This was Connecticut. Danbury. Real enough, this was not a place of dreams. The inspection of such a gem was not a difficult one, barely stirring the twigs already broken under my feet. Rousing guardians and beasts that for years kept her safe. What I could gather acted as guardians for eight years, although my assumption could very well be wrong. I marveled over the figure, the piece of art I now held, a treasure of this natural world, a great bounty of Danbury. Connection of sleek and texture meeting in a blending that could have only been crafted by the will of a higher order, her outer layers peeling, at least beginning to, from age and from the force of weather.
I further inspected, sitting on the rails.

I apologize to those who look to this site daily hoping that there will be a great deal of wisdom spewing forth from what I update (and for many they are amused when I do update some crazed outburst). The updates that I have been doing have been far and in between, as reaccount is never as good as the event itself and those experiencing such know what happened and the joy of it, or the sorrow of it. So from here on out it seems that this will be used as a discussion place and a spot that I will leave announcements more than anything else.
I do not expect much as most people don't care much for these sort of things I wish to discuss and bring forth, and with good meaning for many the internet is a place of amusement and of escape rather than a place of seriousness and a forum to share thoughts with similarly minded individuals. For such a feeling I hold no ill feelings whatsoever, it is a very understandable feeling (and one I hold myself much of the time).
But we also can use this tool, as I was saying, for the strength of our own thoughts and for these ideas to flourish. This is especially accurate when the ideas we have are not that of the mainstream, and remember "counter-culture" as labeled is not always in rebellion to what the normalities of the social classes have set, this is not always a negative thing as society as a whole would love us to believe. There are no rights and wrongs here, just majorities and minorities. All people have a reason to do the things they do, all people have what they call beauty and a belief they will allow to shape their lives.
I hope soon to share with you all the beliefs (some being my own, others being taken from the teachings that is ones I share) concerning spirituality and the modification of the flesh, permanent or otherwise.
